BRIAN J. SHENKER, ESQ., is a former U.S. District Court judicial intern, who began his legal career at a well respected employment law firm in New York City. There, Mr. Shenker focused on labor and employment matters involving wage and hour and discrimination litigation, as well as other compensation related issues. Thereafter, Mr. Shenker joined an employment law firm in Long Island, where he litigated a wide variety of labor and employment cases including those for unpaid wages, sex, race, and disability discrimination, and retaliation claims.
In 2010, Mr. Shenker joined Xue & Associates, Mr. Shenker focuses his practice on labor and employment litigation, including class and collective wage and hour actions, as well as commercial litigation. Mr. Shenker has represented both employees and management in multi-million Dollar litigation. In recent years, Mr. Shenker has received media attention for his work on cases involving failure to pay minimum wage and overtime premiums. Mr. Shenker has obtained numerous favorable decisions in federal wage and hour litigation, and state commercial litigation cases.
Mr. Shenker received his Juris Doctor from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law where he was an Topics Editor of the Pittsburgh Journal of Environmental and Public Health Law and a recipient of the Dean's Scholarship. He is also a member of the New York Employment Lawyers Association, New York County Lawyers Association, New York City Bar Association and New Jersey State Bar Association. Mr. Shenker is admitted to practice in both New York and New Jersey. He is also admitted to the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and the District of New Jersey.
