Sherman, V. Andre

Kristin Holbeck is an associate in the Litigation/Controversy Department. She joined the firm in 2010.

Practice

Ms. Holbeck’s practice includes matters ranging from regulatory investigations to competition and negotiation issues surrounding complex media transactions. She has assisted clients in responding to inquiries from the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority and the Federal Trade Commission. Ms. Holbeck also has experience with matters involving communications, privacy and antitrust issues.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Holbeck volunteered in the Long Term Care Assistance Project at Maryland Legal Aid.

During law school, Ms. Holbeck completed an internship for the Honorable Cathy Serrette. She also worked as a student attorney in the Criminal Justice Clinic, where she represented indigent clients before the US Parole Commission in parole revocation hearings, and indigent clients facing misdemeanor charges in Washington DC Superior Court.

Prior to beginning her legal studies, Ms. Holbeck was an account coordinator for a strategic communications firm.
