Peter W. Herzog is a 1961 graduate of St. Louis University School of Law and is admitted to practice in Missouri and Florida. He is a founding partner of the firm and chairman of the Management Committee.
Mr. Herzog has had extensive experience in both business-related issues and litigation. He was chief counsel for Civic Center Redevelopment Corporation, which developed the stadium and the related complex in the City of St. Louis. He has counseled extensively in land use law and litigation relating thereto and has been lead counsel in many of the firm's complex litigation matters.
Mr. Herzog is a Panelist with the American Arbitration Association and has tried a number of constructions cases, both in the courts and before arbitration panels.
Additionally, Mr. Herzog is actively engaged in managing and trying the firm's most complex business litigation cases, including lengthy jury trials. Mr. Herzog has argued many appellate cases and is admitted to practice before the Eighth, Sixth, Fifth and Eleventh Circuit Courts of Appeal.
He has counseled extensively in the banking industry and in the field of fiduciary and director liability and responsibility. He has represented the RTC and the FDIC, as well as several banks and bank holding companies. In 2002, Mr. Herzog was recognized nationally for Superior Client Service as a result of a survey of corporate attorneys at Fortune 1000 companies. He was one of only two Missouri attorneys selected by clients as an exceptional service provider.
Mr. Herzog is a member of the Missouri and Florida Bar Associations and the American Bar Association (Antitrust Law). Mr. Herzog has an AV "Peer Review Rated" rating Martindale-Hubbell.
