Will Herzberger coordinates commercial, industrial, mining, and multifamily real estate transactions as single-purpose engagements and as part of business acquisitions and dispositions. His practice focuses on overseeing matters involving multiple properties in multiple states and related financings. He also has significant experience handling real estate assets in bankruptcy cases and forming limited liability companies for real estate-related activities.
Will's recent experience includes advising Chrysler LLC on the real estate aspects of its sale to the "new" Chrysler and the disposition of remaining excess plants and facilities; International Steel Group on its acquisitions of Acme Steel, Bethlehem Steel, Georgetown Steel, and Weirton Steel; International Coal Group on the use of its real estate as collateral under its various debt and equity facilities; and National City Bank on a bulk disposition program of hundreds of foreclosed residential (REO) properties.
Will also has significant experience coordinating the real estate aspects of acquisitions and dispositions of portfolio companies for venture capital clients, including Kirtland Capital, Morgenthaler Ventures, Parallel Investments, and The Riverside Company. In addition, Will represents industrial and office facility tenants in leasing transactions. Examples of his recent tenant representations include the corporate headquarters of both Dix & Eaton and Penton Media.
Will is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association (Real Property Section) and has been selected for inclusion in Ohio Super Lawyers and Super Lawyers — Corporate Counsel Edition, as a top attorney in real estate law.
