Gregory Herring has been practicing law for more than twenty years and is one of Southern California's top family lawyers. He is Certified as a Specialist in Family Law by the Board of Legal Specialization of the State Bar of California. Greg is a Fellow of the Southern California Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers ("AAML") and also a Fellow of the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. He has been annually listed as a "Superlawyer" since 2007 and as one of "Southern California's Best Lawyers" since 2008.

Greg began his career as a litigator with the Los Angeles office of Lord, Bissell & Brook. After joining Ferguson Case Orr Paterson LLP in 1992, he focused his practice on business litigation and then family law. In 2001, he was selected as a member of the Executive Committee of the State Bar's Family Law Section ("FLEXCOM"). He edited the Section's periodical, Family Law News, and was elected FLEXCOM's Chair in 2004. After being admitted to the AAML in 2005, Greg was selected for the Southern California Chapter's Amicus Committee and as the Dean of its annual Institute of Trial Advocacy in 2010. Greg currently also serves on its Board of Directors and its Legislative Review Committee. He further serves on the Legislative Review Committee of the AAML's national organization. Greg regularly speaks and writes on family law, and he has also served as an expert witness concerning the family law attorney's standard of care.
