Scruggs, Charles L.

Chris grew up in Carrollton, Georgia, and on graduation from law school, came home to practice law there.  He graduated from the University of Georgia cum laude with a B.A. degree in 1990, and, in 1993, he graduated from the University of Georgia School of Law.  Since graduation his practice has primarily been in the fields of Social Security disability, workers’ compensation, and in civil litigation ranging from personal injury, employment discrimination, and medical malpractice.   

Chris is licensed to practice law in the States of Georgia and Alabama, and has represented clients in Georgia’s Superior and State Courts, the Georgia Court of Appeals, and the Supreme Court of Georgia.  He also has represented clients in U.S. District Court of the Northern District of Georgia, and the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals.  Chris has represented clients in Circuit and District Courts in the State of Alabama, as well as the Supreme Court of Alabama.  He has represented hundreds of Social Security disability clients at hearings in Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Florida, Arkansas, and Texas.  He has tried workers’ compensation claims throughout the State of Georgia.

Chris is a member of the Georgia Trial Lawyer’s Association, the American Bar Association, and is a Sustaining Member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimant’s Representatives (NOSSCR).
