Valerie is an associate in the firm of Briggs and Morgan, Professional Association. She is a member of the Business Litigation Section and Energy Law Group.

Valerie is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association and Minnesota Women Lawyers.

Born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Valerie received her B.A. summa cum laude in economics and political science from Luther College. She received her J.D. from the University of Iowa College of Law with high distinction, was elected to the Order of the Coif, and served as an associate editor of the Journal of Transactional Law and Contemporary Problems. She joined Briggs in 2004.
