Denis A. Scinta practices in the areas of business, matrimonial and family law, with a primary emphasis upon a Family Court practice, which encompasses abuse/neglect, custody/visitation, paternity and child support matters. Mr. Scinta appears almost daily in Family Court being involved, in addition to the above, with termination of parental rights proceedings, adoptions, Person in Need of Supervision (P.I.N.S.) and Juvenile Delinquency (J.D.) matters, as well as matters relating to New York Adoption and Safe Children's Act. He has extensive background in Family Law matters, in particular, the rights and responsibilities of parents and their children, as it relates to emancipation and other child support issues.
Mr. Scinta is legal advisor and Board of Director Member of Parents in Crisis - Tough Love, has served as President, Director and Legal Advisor for the National Sudden Infant Death Syndrome Foundation, Inc. - Western New York Chapter. He was active in the Town of Amherst Youth Board and Amherst Y.U. He was previously on the Executive Committee, Task force co-chair - Prevention and Education, Chairman - By laws drafting committee and nominating committee chairman for the Community Commission on Alcohol & Substance Abuse in Erie County. He is currently a Moot Court Competition Judge for the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Law. Previously a member of the Town of Amherst Youth Board Foundation and Community Prevention Network of Western New York, Inc.
