Tom Henry's practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, corporate investigations, and business disputes. He has represented clients from a broad range of industries in class actions and other complex, multijurisdictional litigation across the country. He has provided extensive counseling and advice to corporate clients concerning a wide range of issues, including antitrust, privacy, corporate governance, and compliance with federal and state regulations. He has substantial experience advancing clients' goals in foreign jurisdictions throughout the world, including litigation defense in Europe, Latin America, and Australia, and in international arbitration.
Tom has substantial experience conducting internal corporate investigations and responding to government investigations and enforcement actions. He has managed client responses to civil investigative demands, attorney general inquiries, and investigations by the U.S. Department of Justice and European Commission on Competition.
Tom also has significant experience in civil antitrust matters and cartel investigations, including multidistrict class actions and state unfair competition and deceptive trade act litigation.
Tom manages Jones Day's affordable housing litigation initiative and litigated its first test case. He successfully briefed and argued a motion for preliminary injunction on behalf of tenants who resided in deplorable conditions, and he obtained safe housing for all clients and their families. The Financial Times awarded this work the most outstanding and innovative pro bono project in the United States for 2010.
