Schweickert, Douglas J.

Attorney Mark S. Hennings, born in Iowa on December 7, 1953, moved to California in 1963. In 1977 he earned his B.A. degree from California State University at Fullerton, graduating with high honors. After briefly attending graduate school at Yale University, Mr. Hennings obtained a J.D. degree from Loyola Law School in 1981, earning Dean's List honors. Mr. Hennings was admitted to the State Bar of California in 1981, the U.S. District Court-Central District in 1982 and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the ninth Circuit in 1983. He is an active member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association.

 A former police officer, Mr. Hennings has been a member of the Western States Auto Theft Investigators and been invited to give lectures and seminars to both attorneys and insurance personnel in connection with his membership with the Southern California Fraud Investigators Association. Mr. Hennings has also served as an arbitrator in over 50 civil matters.

A former partner of two large local insurance defense firms, Mr. Hennings has substantial trial arbitration and mediation experience involving a wide range of civil matters, representing both plaintiffs and defendants. 

An active motorcycle rider and enthusiast since his youth, Mr. Hennings has handled numerous motorcycle and automobile claims throughout his career. A former aviation instrument pilot and aircraft owner, Mr. Hennings has handled general aviation claims and lawsuits as well.

 Over the past three decades Mr. Hennings has successfully tried several matters before juries throughout Southern California on behalf plaintiffs and the defendants on a wide range of civil matters including medical/dental negligence, brain damage and bad faith claims. Mr. Hennings has arbitrated and mediated hundreds of first and third party civil matters reflecting the wide scope of his civil litigation background.
