Robert H. Schwartz has a civil trial practice that includes extensive experience in handling third-party claims involving insured and self insured persons or entities. In addition, his practice includes municipal and police liability in both state and federal courts including Land Use litigation and all types of civil rights claims against individuals and/or municipalities. He deals in insurance coverage analysis and litigation involving both first and third-party claims including coverage opinions, declaratory judgment actions and bad faith claims. This includes the defense of first-party insurance claims made directly against the insurer, as well as, third-party claims involving insurance coverage issues. He has an appellate practice that flows from the litigation in all the foregoing areas and he has argued in excess of 125 cases in appellate courts in Florida, including the Third District Court of Appeal, the Fourth District Court of Appeal and the Florida Supreme Court. This appellate practice has resulted in approximately 90 published opinions which also includes the appellate courts in Tennessee and the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals.
