Tim Schofield is an experienced and successful litigator. He has vast experience representing companies and individuals in state and federal court and before administrative agencies and municipal boards. Tim is admitted to practice law in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Prior to forming his own firm, Tim was a trial lawyer with the Boston law firms of Sally & Fitch and Goulston & Storrs.
Tim has extensive experience litigating complex business cases, property management disputes, zoning appeals, real estate matters, personal injury cases, consumer protection actions, and commercial and banking disputes. His reported cases include Stigum v. Johnson, 2008 WL 275110 (Massachusetts Land Court, 2008); Sarkis v. Grey2k, 21 Mass.L.Rptr. 173 (Suffolk Superior Court, (2006); Bingham v. City Council of Fitchburg, 52 Mass.App.Ct. 566 (Massachusetts Appeals Court, 2001); and Bahnan v. Continental Insurance Company, 216 F.3d 150 (1st Circuit Court of Appeals, 2000).
Tim graduated magna cum laude from Boston College Law School in 1999 and magna cum laude from the University of New Hampshire in 1993. He is a veteran of the United States Army and served in Saudi Arabia during the Persian Gulf War. From 1993-1995, he worked on Capitol Hill as a legislative aide to Congressman Dick Swett (D-NH). Tim has taught Legal Writing at Boston University Law School and Introduction to Lawyering and Professional Responsibility at Boston College Law School. Tim is very active in his community and, among other things, serves on the Allston-Brighton Boston College Community Task Force and as the Chair of the Ward 21 Democratic Committee.
