Care Heller-Pittman is an associate at Donahue Gallagher Woods LLP, specializing in intellectual property law. She has extensive transactional and corporate experience in the high technology sector. Ms. Heller-Pittman has expertise in handling the technical and legal aspects of complex domestic and international transactions, including software development, content, publishing and distribution agreements. She has participated in a number of public and private corporate acquisitions as well as managed and led teams in technology divestitures.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Heller-Pittman served as Corporate and Divisional Counsel at Autodesk, Inc. in San Rafael, California. She also was Director of Business Development for Discreet, a division of Autodesk, Inc., and was a senior manager for Structural Dynamics Research Corporation in Cincinnati, Ohio (an EDS affiliate).
Ms. Heller-Pittman received her law degree from Salmon Chase School of Law in 1995, where she was a board member and participant in the Bettman and Gosse Competitions of the Chase Moot Court. She earned a Masters of Architecture from the University of Utah and a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Chemistry and Physics from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. She also completed the Executive Education Program for Negotiation and Managerial Decision Making at Harvard University.
Ms. Heller-Pittman is currently participating in the Masters of Taxation program at Golden Gate University in San Francisco, specializing in estate and gift tax law. She is a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteer in Marin County and also handles pro bono family law cases for the Volunteer Legal Services Program of the Bar Association of San Francisco.
She is a member of the State Bar of California, the American Bar Association and the San Francisco Bar Association.
