Schoop, Devlin J.

Craig S. Schoenherr, Sr., is an officer, director and managing shareholder specializing in creditors' rights, bankruptcy law, collections and commercial litigation. Mr. Schoenherr received his Bachelor Degree in Philosophy with High Honors in 1977 from Montieth College of Wayne State University. He obtained his Juris Doctorate from Wayne State University School of Law in 1980. Mr. Schoenherr is authorized to practice law in all U.S. District and Bankruptcy Courts in the State of Michigan as well as all State Courts. He is also admitted to the U.S. Supreme Court. He is the chairman the Firm's Creditors' Rights Group. Mr. Schoenherr was included in the Dbusiness magazine exclusive 2011 list of Metro Detroit Top Lawyers.

Mr. Schoenherr has published "Seizure and Sale of Property for Delinquent Personal Property Taxes" in The Michigan Assessor, and prepared a Report to the Bankruptcy Review Commission on behalf of the National Association of Retail Collection Attorneys. He is an active speaker on both a local and national level in the area of creditors' rights. Mr. Schoenherr is an active participant in pro bono work through the U.S. Bankruptcy Court and the Metropolitan Detroit Bar Association. Since 1994, Mr. Schoenherr has been a panel member for the Attorney Discipline Board for the State Bar of Michigan. He also sits as a case evaluator in the Circuit Courts and District Courts.

Mr. Schoenherr is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and the Macomb County Bar Association, Detroit Metropolitan and Federal Bar Associations. He is a member of the Commercial Law League of America-Bankruptcy Committee, the National Association of Retail Collection Attorneys, and the Michigan Creditor Bar Association. Mr. Schoenherr is a director and president of the Consumer Bankruptcy Association. Mr. Schoenherr serves as director and officer at Pope John House Detroit which provides housing for patients and their families at the Detroit Medical Center and is a volunteer at the Cabrini Clinic in Detroit.
