Jon Schofield is a member of the firm's commercial litigation group. He has a broad base of litigation experience and has represented local and national companies in complex litigation matters involving contract, business, trade secret, bankruptcy, insurance, employment, real estate and antitrust disputes. Additionally, Mr. Schofield has represented plaintiffs in personal injury and mass tort cases. Mr. Schofield has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in state and federal court and has tried cases in Utah and California.
Prior to joining Parr Brown in 2004, Mr. Schofield was a law clerk to Chief Judge Dee Benson of the United States District Court for the District of Utah and an associate at LeBoeuf, Lamb, Green & MacRae. Mr. Schofield was also an assistant adjunct professor at Brigham Young University's J. Reuben Clark Law School, where he taught a course in debtor and creditor law for four years with former bankruptcy judge, Ralph Mabey.
Mr. Schofield was listed in Utah Business Magazine's 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009 Legal Elite and the 2008 Mountain States Super Lawyers in business litigation.
