Schneller, Dean C.

Dean is an associate in our Plattsburgh office where his practice focuses on state and federal criminal law, civil litigation, land use and zoning, environmental litigation, and appellate law. His state and federal criminal practice includes the representation of defendants who have been charged with misdemeanors and felonies in the local justice courts, Clinton County Court, and the United States District Court for the Northern District of New York. Dean has handled numerous state and federal drug charges, driving related offenses, and federal criminal immigration matters. His civil practice includes the representation of both plaintiffs and defendants through all phases of civil litigation, including the appellate process. His environmental, land use and zoning practice includes the representation of respondents in enforcement proceedings involving the Department of Environmental Conservation, representation of applicants before municipal zoning boards, and the handling of enforcement matters for the Clinton County Health Department.

Prior to joining our firm, Dean served as the Judicial Clerk for the Honorable Merideth Wright and the Honorable Thomas Durkin of the Vermont Environmental Court, which is an appellate court with statewide jurisdiction over appeals from regulatory, enforcement and zoning decisions.

As a member of the Criminal Justice Act Panel, Dean regularly represents indigent criminal defendants in Federal Court and currently serves as the Vice President for the Lake Champlain Chapter of Trout Unlimited.
