Bryan A. Schivera is an associate in the Tax and Corporate department of the firm. His primary areas of practice are corporate law, federal tax law, estate planning and estate administration and probate.
Mr. Schivera, a native of Savannah, is a graduate of Benedictine Military School. He attended the University of Georgia, graduating in 2008 with a degree in Political Science. While at the University of Georgia, Mr. Schivera was a member of the Kappa Alpha Order, serving as Senior Officer. As a junior, Mr. Schivera was selected to participate in the E. Fleming Mason Memorial Internship Program and worked with both United States Senator John Thune and the LS Group in Washington, D.C. His senior year, he served as a legislative intern for Governor Sonny Perdue during the spring 2008 session.
Mr. Schivera graduated in 2011 from the University of Georgia School of Law. While in law school, he served as an articles editor for the Georgia Journal of International and Comparative Law. His note, Beer, Liquor, or a Little Bit of Both? Getting to the Bottom of Properly Classifying Flavored Malt Beverages in the United States and Australia, was selected for publication in the spring 2011 issue. During his time in law school, Mr. Schivera was selected for membership in Gridiron.
Mr. Schivera is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and serves on the Executive Board of the Savannah Bar Association - Young Lawyers Division. He is a member of the 2013 Georgia State Bar Young Lawyers' Leadership Academy class. Outside of his law practice, Mr. Schivera is an attorney advisor for the Boy Scouts of America Law and Government Explorer's Program, a board member of the Savannah Civitan Club and William Jay Society and a member of the St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee and the Savannah Estate Planning Counsel.
