Traci L. Schenkel was born and raised in West Michigan. Traci earned her Bachelor of Arts in English from Michigan State University where she graduated cum laude. Traci continued her education at Grand Valley State University where she earned a teacher's certification in both English and Mathematics. Traci went on to teach high school mathematics before attending Thomas M. Cooley Law School. While at Thomas M. Cooley Traci successfully pursued a litigation concentration and her strong litigation skills led to her placement on the National Moot Court Team. Traci graduated from Thomas M. Cooley cum laude and in the top 10% of her class.
Traci is a former intern for Thomas M. Cooley's Access to Justice Clinic in Grand Rapids, Michigan. While working with Access to Justice, Traci developed a love and understanding of Family Law and litigated a variety of complex Family Law issues in Kent County Circuit Court. Traci has also worked as a Private Evaluator for the Kent County Friend of the Court where she conducted private custody, parenting time and child support investigations. Traci accepted a litigation position with Gordon & Shaw, PLC and was brought on to use her Family Law experience to enthusiastically advocate and further advance men's rights in Family Law.
