Kate Sarsfield was born in Leeds and moved to Harrogate as a young child. She obtained a First Class Honours Degree in Law at Sheffield University and was awarded The Sweet & Maxwell Law Prize for her academic achievements. Kate completed her Solicitors’ Finals course at The College of Law in York and then continued her education by studying and gaining a Master’s Degree in Law at Queens College Cambridge.
Kate completed her Articles with Marilyn Stowe at Grahame Stowe Bateson in 1995 and remained at the practice specialising in Family Law until 2004. In 2004 she co- founded a practice in Leeds with two colleagues. She was instrumental in the success of the firm and continued to work in the practice until 2010.
In 2010, after the birth of her second child, Kate left to set up Sarsfield Family Law with the aim of providing clients with a bespoke service and excellent client care. Since qualifying in 1995 she has gained a wealth of experience exclusively in the field of family law. Kate has been able to draw upon that experience and is now able to offer clients of Sarsfield Family Law expert legal advice but at “High Street” prices.
Kate has regularly been asked to speak on the Radio in her capacity as a Family Law Expert.
