Janet Sarver is a staff attorney in the Litigation Department at WilmerHale. She joined the firm in 2006.
Practice
Ms. Sarver focuses her practice on issues of e-discovery. Specifically, she works with other attorneys, litigation technology project managers, and paralegals on teams that manage electronic and other documents in large cases and investigations. Attorneys on these teams take a leadership role in the document control process, systematically tracking documents from preservation to collection and through review and production. They work with e-discovery vendors and their review and analytical tools; review documents; train and oversee other firm and contract attorneys who review documents; and partner with project managers to perform production quality control. Ms. Sarver has direct experience with major investment banks and pharmaceutical companies.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Sarver gained litigation experience as a litigation analyst for a leading international corporate firm in New York City, where she worked on matters involving the pharmaceutical and financial services industries, among others, and assisted in material preparation for potential litigation. Ms. Sarver also has significant experience researching and drafting documents relating to the field of international law. While at George Washington University Law School, Ms. Sarver participated in George Washington University and Oxford University's Joint Programme in International Human Rights Law. In addition, she interned with the United States Department of State's Office of the Legal Adviser, where she researched and drafted responses to claims before international monitoring bodies.
