Ruth B. Sanders received her J.D. from the University of Kansas School of Law in 2001, and is licensed in both Missouri and Kansas. From 2001-2002, Ruth served as a law clerk to the Honorable Ronald R. Holliger of the Missouri court of appeals, Western District. Before opening her own practice in 2012. Ruth served as the District Defender of one of the Missouri State Public Defender's Kansas City Appellate office, where she litigated hundreds of direct appeals and postconviction motions in Missouri State Courts. In 2006, Ruth was awarded the Missouri Bar Foundation's prestigious David J. Dixon Appellate Advocacy Award. Ruth now focuses on both trial level and appellate and postconviction criminal defense work.
