Sandweiss, Dana S.

Steve grew up in Colorado. He attended public schools in Lakewood, earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Colorado and a law degree from the University of Denver. Steve has worked as an accountant and a real estate broker.

During law school, Steve managed the Pro Se Resource Center for the Arapahoe County District Court and helped develop the program to assist people navigating the family court system without an attorney.  After law school, he clerked for a District Court Judge.  He left the court to join a law firm as a trial attorney.

Over the course of his career, he has represented clients at every level of the state and federal courts in Colorado. He has represented clients in jury trials involving disputes ranging from two dollars to several million dollars. He has also worked for one of the largest foreclosure law firms in Colorado. Presently, most of his practice is primarily focused on representing individuals facing foreclosure or bankruptcy and fighting debt collectors who engage in illegal collection practices.
