Jim Salerno advises financial institutions, sponsors, and borrowers in a broad range of financial transactions in the United States and Latin America, with a particular emphasis on transactions involving energy assets and energy-related businesses, project-related and infrastructure financings, financings of acquisitions by private equity clients, and recapitalizations and debt restructurings of public and private entities.

Jim represents Standard Bank Plc in a number of significant cross-border energy-related financial transactions in Latin America and other emerging markets. Energy clients for which Jim regularly works in the project and infrastructure area include AREVA and International Power America. He represents Wasserstein & Co., among other private equity sponsors, in financing certain of its media portfolio companies. He also advises IBM Credit LLC on a number of syndicated, vendor, and lease financings related to its products and customers. In the luxury goods area, Jim represents Harry Winston with respect to its senior ABL credit facilities.

Jim has given a number of presentations on the U.S. Department of Energy's Loan Guarantee Program and its impact on financing energy-related projects.
