Ms. Naimeh Salem, was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico to a Palestinian father and a Puertorrican mother. She lived there until 2007 when she moved to Houston, TX, which is now home. She earned her Juris Doctor degree from the Interamerican University School of Law, in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She was ranked in the top 10 students of the law school and graduated with Magna Cum Laude honors. While on her JD she was the treasurer for the Student Council and her Class, a contributor to a treatise on Criminal Procedure and also law professor legal assistant.
Naimeh is passionate about immigration issues and understands how the immigration process can be overwhelming and at times even intimidating. She strives to educate clients on the immigration process and deliver solutions to meet all family and business immigration needs. For that reason, Naimeh practices immigration full time with an interest in asylum cases, citizenship and cases under the Violence Against Women's Act. Ms. Salem is well versed in all aspects of immigration law and matters, including family-based immigration, employment-based immigration, immigrant visas, business and investor visas, naturalization and citizenship, deportation defense, and asylum law. She enjoys the challenge of finding a path for residence for those with barriers to eligibility for immigration benefits such as criminal convictions, long absences from the US, unlawful entries, prior deportations and visa fraud charges. She documents, researches and presents cases effectively and is dedicated to assuring that her clients receive the very best service in their case, and that they attain the best results possible.
She spends most of her spare time as a driver for her kids to the West U Little League baseball field, the Houston Express Soccer Field, Upward Basketball League games, camping, volleyball games at UCAL or taking them to equitation lessons at Sam Houston Equestrian Center.
Ms. Salem gives back to the community and serves as a probono attorney for the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials (NALEO) and for the American Immigration Lawyers Association Citizenship Day. Ms. Salem is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the State Bar of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the American Bar Association, Palestinian American Cultural Center and the American Immigration Lawyer's Association. She is a native Spanish speaker and conversant in Arabic.
