Maureen A. Salas is a shareholder in Werman Law Office, P.C.  She is a highly experienced employment law litigator having appeared as counsel in hundreds of lawsuits in state and federal courts. Maureen's practice focuses on multi-plaintiff class/collective actions involving wage and hour claims. Maureen also represents individuals in single plaintiff employment matters involving claims under the Family Medical Leave Act, and for sex, race, and age discrimination, and retaliatory discharge. Maureen also has experience before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Illinois Human Rights Commission, as well as before local state and federal employment agencies. Maureen received her Juris Doctor degree, summa cum laude, from DePaul University College of Law in May 2006 and was elected into the Order of the Coif.  Maureen received her Bachelor of Science degree, magna cum laude, in Public Administration from the University of Arizona in 2002. As a law student, Maureen was a member of the Moot Court Society Appellate Court Team, and she was a Quarter-Finalist in the 2006 Wagner National Labor and Employment Law Moot Court Competition.
