Mr. Hamrick, a native of the Jacksonville area, graduated with a bachelor's degree from Bryan College in Dayton, Tennessee, with a major in history and a minor in political science. Mr. Hamrick received his law degree from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia, where he served as the Managing Editor of Publication for the Liberty University Law Review. While in law school, Mr. Hamrick also served as an editor for the Supreme Court Economic Review, which is published by the University of Chicago.
Upon completing his law degree, Mr. Hamrick returned to Florida and served as a prosecutor for the 4th Judicial Circuit, which represents the people of Duval, Nassau, and Clay counties. Mr. Hamrick spent nearly four years with the State Attorney's Office, serving in various capacities in prosecuting misdemeanor, felony, and juvenile cases and has handled numerous jury trials before judges in Duval and Nassau counties. During his tenure, Mr. Hamrick was assigned to assist in leading the DUI Unit in Duval County and to represent the State Attorney's Office in the Mental Health Court Program in Nassau County.
In September of 2012, Mr. Hamrick left the State Attorney's Office and joined the firm of Arnold and Sichta on an Of Counsel basis. Mr. Hamrick currently practices Criminal and Appellate law.
