Timothy J. Sabo practices before the Arizona Corporation Commission (ACC) in utility rate cases, rulemakings, certificate applications, enforcement proceedings and other regulatory matters. Tim has appeared in over 70 ACC hearings, including serving as “first chair” for several large water rate cases. He also has substantial experience in appeals of ACC orders. Tim has assisted clients with many complex ACC jurisdictional issues, including cases concerning whether entities were public service corporations subject to the jurisdiction of the ACC. Tim also practices securities litigation, including defending enforcement actions brought by the Securities Division of the ACC. Tim is a co-founder and editor of Arizona Regulatory Reports, (http://www.arizonaregulatoryreports.com/), a newsletter covering water, wastewater and reclaimed water issues at the ACC.

- In complex arbitration hearing between developers and water utility, obtained over $6 million in arbitration awards and converted awards to Judgments.
- Guided large water utility through first rate case.
- Secured over 100 square miles in CC&N (service area) extensions, including successfully resolving largest CC&N dispute in Arizona history.
- Briefed and successfully argued the appeal of the Commission’s order approving a large coal-fired power plant.
