Attorney William J. Ryan, Jr.  has been a partner in the firm of Ryan & Tyma, L.L.P. since it was founded in 1983.

Attorney Ryan has lived in the Naugatuck Valley all his life.  He graduated from Fairfield University with honors in 1973, and the University of Connecticut, School of Law in 1977.  He is admitted to all Connecticut Courts and the U.S. District Court, Connecticut and New York Federal District Court (1995).

Attorney Ryan lives in Oxford with his wife Ann. They have three children together. He has been very active in his community, having served as Town Counsel and as a member and/or officer of various Town Boards and Commissions, including the Board of Education, Planning & Zoning Commission, Firehouse Building Committee, Town Committee, and the Economic Development Commission.

Attorney Ryan has also been a member of the Lions Club for over twenty-five years, having served as its President, and having been awarded the status of a Knight of the Blind.  Bill has also served as a Chairman of the Professional Division and Corporator of the Valley United Way, as well as a member of the Board of directors and Counsel to SONCCA.

Attorney Ryan maintains several professional affiliations, including the Valley Bar Association (Past President), the Connecticut Bar Association, the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association, and the American Association for Justice (formerly the American Trial Lawyers Association).
