Attorney Peter Russell, the Founder and Partner of Russell & Associates LLC, manages the firm’s very active practice consisting primarily of Criminal Law, Real Estate Law, Employment Law and Personal Injury.   Mr. Russell’s practice includes both trials and appeals in the state and federal court systems, as well as before agencies and administrative boards.  Recognized by his colleagues as a trial lawyer whose courtroom skills and presence give his clients an immense advantage, he succeeds in both the courtroom and in the conference room.  Mr. Russell has appeared before numerous judges and juries not only in every Massachusetts County but also in the Massachusetts Appeals Court and Federal District Courts.

Peter Russell began his career as an Assistant District Attorney in the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office during which he was the Supervisor of the Cambridge and Concord District Courts and was subsequently promoted to the Superior Court where he prosecuted Major Felonies.  In that capacity, Mr. Russell handled hundreds of Felony cases, which gave him extensive criminal law experience.  Due to his ability to zealously represent his clients with the highest degree of competence and professionalism, Mr. Russell was later recruited to serve as an Assistant Attorney General – both in the Executive Bureau as the Director of Community Partnerships, and also in the Government Bureau as an Assistant Attorney General in the Trial Division where he honed his civil litigation skills and concentrated on employment and personal injury law.  As an Assistant Attorney General, Mr. Russell routinely represented the Registry of Motor Vehicles, the Division of Industrial Accidents, the Department of Children and Families (f.k.a. DSS), the Department of Corrections and other local and statewide agencies. 

In 2006, after serving as a prosecutor, senior political advisor and senior civil trial attorney in the Attorney General’s Office for more than a decade, Mr. Russell returned to his hometown of Needham, Massachusetts to establish Russell & Associates LLC.  His public service experience blended with his legal and business education gave him the ability to serve his new clients on a broad array of issues from criminal defense to real estate and employment law. 

Mr. Russell created the law firm of Russell & Associates LLC to parlay his legal, business and government affairs expertise, experience, and relationships into a private business venture.  He is a highly respected attorney and well-known for his integrity, superior work and networking capabilities.
