CHRISTOPHER W. RUMBOLD, a senior attorney with the law firm of Gladstone & Weissman, P.A., specifically restricts his practice to complex matrimonial and family law cases, primarily comprised of high net worth individuals, as he has done since 2005. As a successful former Assistant Public Defender with extensive bench and jury trial experience, he is a zealous advocate who simultaneously promotes the amicable resolution of disputes. His ability to communicate effectively with his clients, opposing counsel and the Court, are among his proudest and strongest attributes.

Christopher is a graduate of the University of Florida, Levin College of Law where he received his J.D. and concurrently earned his Masters Degree in Sociology from the University’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.  He served on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Technology, Law and Policy, was a member of Phi Alpha Delta, and received the Pro Bono Award Certificate.  Christopher was also active in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, while completing his Masters Degree, as a member of the Graduate Student Council and AKD: The Sociological Honors Society.  Additionally, while completing his dual degrees, he taught undergraduate Sociology courses.  Christopher obtained his undergraduate degree, cum laude, from Oakland University where he was a member of the Golden Key National Honor Society, and where he double-majored in psychology (focusing on child development) and sociology  (focusing on criminal justice). 

Christopher was admitted to practice law in the State of Florida in 2002 and is a member of the Family Law Section of the Florida Bar and a member of the Family Law, Appellate Practice and Trial Lawyers Sections of the Bar Association. 

Christopher presently serves on the following committees of the Family Law Section of the Florida Bar: Legislation, General Magistrates and Hearing Officers (Co-Chair), Support Issues and Domestic Violence and he has been included in Super Lawyers’ 2011 and 2012 list of Florida’s Rising Stars. He was selected as a “Rising Star” by the Family Law Section of the Florida Bar in 2011 and 2012, and he received the Chair of the Family Law Section’s special recognition award for his efforts during the 2011-2012 legislative session. He has also lectured on various topics to local Bar Organizations.      

On a more personal note, Christopher, an accomplished equestrian and international traveler, is the proud owner of two Pugs, a French Bulldog, and a team-autographed, 2008 National Champion, Florida Gators helmet.   He is also involved with varied charitable organizations.
