Robert Rund has extensive school and immigration law experience. Mr. Rund has served since 1993 as the editor of Indiana School Laws and Rules, a comprehensive compilation of the statutes and regulations governing public schools in Indiana published annually by West Publishing Company. Mr. Rund represents public school corporations throughout Indiana. Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Rund served for seven (7) years as Director of Legal Services for the Indiana School Boards Association. Mr. Rund has authored numerous articles on education and immigration law for the Indiana School Boards Association, the Indiana Continuing Legal Education Foundation, and other business, legal and educational organizations.
Mr. Rund's education law practice includes representation of school corporations as general counsel, and on special matters, including, but not limited to, employment law, student discipline, commercial and construction contracts, school construction finance, public bidding, public meeting and access to records issues, and policy development.
Mr. Rund's immigration practice includes representation of universities, colleges, not-for-profits, businesses, and investors in obtaining temporary work authorization and employment related permanent residency for executives, managers, professors, researchers, professionals, specialized knowledge employees, athletes, and business owners, and in consular processing where required.
Mr. Rund has more than 20 years experience in assisting Japanese and other multinational companies obtain E-1, E-2, L, and EB-1 Intracompany Transferee permanent residency status for their key employees.
Mr. Rund is a former member of the national Board of Governors of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and is a past President of the Indiana Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association.
