Marshall D. Ruchman is nearing fifty years of practice of law. He is admitted to practice in both Ohio and Indiana. Even though he is a non-resident of Indiana, he has done extensive work in Indiana in the area of probate administration.
When Mr. Ruchman first started practicing law, like all young lawyers, he was willing to take any business that came in. Over the years, however, the practice seemed to gravitate in to the area of business and corporate law. Aside from doing extensive work in the formation of partnerships and corporations, he did a lot of the attendant real estate work and profit-sharing and pension plans for the various business entities that he worked with along with the estate planning, trust and probate work for his individual clients.
As the years progressed, more and more emphasis was placed on the estate planning, trust, and probate.
Always a believer in giving back to the community, Mr. Ruchman devoted many years to outside work in the form of communal organizations. Some of his activities are detailed to the left under the section "Professional Associations and Memberships".
Through his work in communal activities, he became involved in planned and charitable giving. He served on the planned and charitable giving committee of many of his charitable organizations. He stated that, "One of the things that I am most proud of in all of the years of my law practice was the creation of Hospice of Dayton Foundation." Hospice of Dayton Foundation is a supporting foundation of the Hospice of Dayton. He said, "It is most gratifying to see how the Hospice of Dayton Foundation supplements the mission of the Hospice of Dayton."
