Rummel, Blake A.

Justin Rubin is an associate in the Litigation Department at WilmerHale. He joined the firm in 2006. Mr. Rubin's practice focuses on complex civil, regulatory, governmental and public policy litigation.

Practice

Mr. Rubin has experience in complex civil litigation and election law.

While in law school, Mr. Rubin served as a research assistant to Professor Adrian Vermeule, where he drafted memoranda on researched topics including statutory interpretation, administrative law and wartime legislation, and assisted in preparation for publications. Mr. Rubin's own legal research includes empirical work on Supreme Court Justice voting, such as the impact of politics, jurisprudence and solicitor general participation in a case on justices' voting; research on congressional attacks on judicial review; interpreting temporary legislation; and the Supreme Court's role in refereeing allocations of power between Congress and executive agencies.

As a summer associate in the Litigation Department at a large New York firm, Mr. Rubin participated in document review for an SEC investigation, assisted in internal investigations, and dealt with class certification issues. He has also interned with the Jewish Council on Urban Affairs, a public policy and advocacy organization in Chicago, and for the Legal Aid Society of New York.
