Originally from Portland, Oregon, David Haines attended the University of Oregon, graduating with a B.A. in Russian and East European Studies. David moved to Boston in 2003, where he studied at Boston University School of Law. During law school, David served as an Articles Editor for the Public Interest Law Journal, presided as a judge for the school’s Moot Court Competition, was a Class Representative to the Student Bar Association, and represented B.U. at the ABA Arbitration Competition Nationals. David also took part in the Boston University Civil Litigation Program, where he represented underprivileged individuals before various tribunals, and graduated in 2006, having earned a litigation concentration with honors. Before joining Phillips & Angley, David worked for the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office and Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr.
