Justin Michael Ross was born in San Diego, California on December 22, 1972. Justin received a B.A. degree from Rhodes College in 1995 and his law degree from the University of Memphis College of Law, where he graduated magna cum laude in 1998. While at the University of Memphis, Justin was a member of the law review and was an associate justice of the moot court board. From 1998-2003, Justin practiced law at the law firm of Martin, Tate, Morrow & Marston in Memphis, Tennessee, where he concentrated on commercial litigation. From 2003-2010, Justin was a Senior Counsel in the Litigation Department of Federal Express Corporation. As senior counsel at FedEx, Justin handled commercial litigation and class action defense for FedEx nationwide.
Justin has been an active member of the Memphis and Tennessee Bar Associations. He has served on the board of directors of the Young Lawyers Division of the Memphis Bar Association, he was a member of the inaugural class of the Leadership Forum for the Memphis Bar Association, he was selected for the Tennessee Bar Association Leadership Law Program in 2007 and served on its steering committee from 2008-2009. He is currently a member of the board of directors for Volunteer Tennessee, a governor appointed board that administers grants to various organizations throughout the state to encourage volunteerism and service learning. He is also a Barrister member of the Leo Bearman, Sr. American Inns of Court, Memphis Chapter.
Justin concentrates his practice in the area labor and employment litigation, including single plaintiff and collective action wage and hour litigation, Title VII, ADEA and FMLA.
