Mitchell Rose has more than 10 years experience in preparing and prosecuting patent applications in the mechanical, chemical, and electrical fields for a very wide range of companies and products. Prior to joining Jones Day he was a senior research scientist at Scott Fetzer, performing mathematical modeling and research and development related to the Kirby vacuum cleaner, which included developing a fan, motor, sensors, and actuators.
Mitchell's previous experience also includes work as a senior research scientist at Master Builders, where he developed both chemical additives for concrete and test methods for material testing. Before that he was a manager of a laboratory at Mogul Corp. specializing in analysis of waterborne deposits in circulating water systems. In addition he ran a small engineering business for nine years, developing sensors and test equipment under contract from government and industry.
Mitchell holds 15 patents, mainly in electronic sensors and motor and fan design.
