J. David Roellgen joined the firm as an associate in April of 1989. He is a past chair of the Indiana State Bar Association Family and Juvenile Law Section. Dave is a Vincennes native and a graduate of Rivet High School. He attended Vincennes University for two years and received a degree in Business Administration and Management in 1976 from Indiana State University. In 1977 he was honored as the Vincennes University outstanding recent alumni. He concluded his J.D. law degree at Indiana University at Indianapolis in May of 1979 graduating cum laude.
He began his law career as Deputy Attorney General in Indianapolis. H has served as an unemployment compensation appeals referee for Indiana Employment Security and as an Assistant Commissioner for the Indiana Department of Human Services.
Dave practices in the areas of civil litigation, insurance defense, family and custody law, adoption. wills and family and civil mediations.
Dave is a Lt. Col. in the Indiana Army National Guard and is currently the Staff Judge Advocate for the 38th Infantry Division Mechanized.
