C. Douglas Green is a native of Burlington, North Carolina, where he graduated from Walter M. Williams High School. Following high school, he attended Duke University on a football scholarship, where he still is ranked among the top in several receiving categories. He received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from Duke University in 1987, and a Master of Business Administration Degree from Elon College's Martha Love School of Business in 1992. Mr. Green received his Juris Doctorate Degree from North Carolina Central University School of Law in 1998. He was a member of the National Trial Team and Moot Court Board.
Mr. Green was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1998. In 1998, he practiced workers compensation defense, personal injury defense and employment law at Zimmerman, Shuffield, Kiser & Sutcliffe, P.A. In 2004, Mr. Green continued his defense practice in personal injury at Grower, Ketcham, Rutherford, Bronson, Eide & Telan, P.A. In 2007, he was employed as in-house counsel for Progressive Insurance.
Mr. Green is also a member of the Orange County Bar, U.S. District Court, Middle District of Florida, and the Legal Aide Sociaty. His civic membership includes the Association to Preserve African-American Society, History and Tradition, Inc., and Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. He is a member of First Baptist Church of Orlando.
