Lisa graduated from the College of Idaho with a B.A. degree in Elementary Education and a minor in English as a Second Language in 1993. She taught 1st grade in the Vallivue School District for seven years before attending law school. In 2004, she graduated magna cum laude from the University of Idaho College of Law with a Juris Doctorate. While in law school, she was an editor on the Idaho Law Review and mentored incoming law students.
Upon graduation from law school, Lisa served as a law clerk for Twin Falls County District Judge G. Richard Bevan. In 2006, she went into private practice where she has focused primarily on family law matters but has also represented clients in general civil litigation, criminal defense and estate planning.
Lisa is currently the secretary to the Family Law Section of the Idaho State Bar and is a member of the Theron Ward American Inns of Court.
Ms. Rodriguez’s experience in family law has included representing clients in divorce cases with complex community and separate property issues, including farm and business valuations; representing parents in high-conflict custody situations and litigating child custody and child support issues; representing clients in guardianship proceedings; and assisting clients with adoptions and other general family law matters.
In addition, Lisa continues to represent clients in criminal defense matters and provides services for general civil matters such as estate planning and collections.
