Andrew attended the University of Virginia, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in Philosophy and minoring in Astronomy in 2008. During his time at the University of Virginia, he was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity, Sigma Alpha Lambda honor fraternity, and the National Scholars Honor Society. Andrew then attended the University of Richmond School of Law, where he received his Juris Doctor in 2011. While at the University of Richmond School of Law, he was a senior staff member of the Richmond Journal of Law and Technology and a member of Phi Alpha Delta law fraternity. He was also a member of the school's chapter of the Virginia Bar Association, under which he served as the mentorship chair on the 2009-2010 executive board and a third-year representative on the 2010-2011 executive board. In 2009, Andrew traveled to the United Kingdom and participated in the Richmond Summer Law Program at Cambridge University's Emmanuel College. In 2011, Andrew contributed writing to Jan Goldman's "The Central Intelligence Agency: An Encyclopedia of Covert Ops, Intelligence Gathering, and Spies," a forthcoming 2013 publication by Praeger Security International.
