Rodriguez, Kelly J.

Terrance P. Gravens ("Terry") is a native Clevelander, who has deep roots in the community, especially the legal community. His involvement in a variety of civic activities has enhanced his thirty-four years of experience as a lawyer.

After graduating from the Cleveland Marshall College of Law, he was a Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable John T. Patton at the 8th District, Ohio Court of Appeals. From there, he joined (now Judge) William J. Coyne as an associate, when the original firm was founded in 1979.

For the following three decade, he practiced law throughout Ohio, primarily in Northeast Ohio. The focus of his practice has been civil litigation, representing insureds, businesses and insurance carriers in a broad variety of cases including catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death claims such as the Medina County Steam Tractor Explosion Litigation, numerous Asbestos cases across Ohio, defense of coverage and bad faith claims versus insurance companies, commercial litigation and most recently the defense of employment practices liability claims.

His appellate practice has included numerous appearances before State and Federal Courts of Appeals and the Ohio Supreme Court.

Terry has long been rated "AV" by Martindale Hubbell. He is also a Past Chair of the Cleveland Bar Litigation Section and Litigation Institute and a member of the original steering committee for the NITA Trial Advocacy Program.

The honors bestowed upon him have been included the St. Ignatius High School Garvey Award for service to its Alumni Association, its Bellarmine Award for his distinguished service and legal excellence, the Cleveland Marshall College of Law's Outstanding Alumnus Award, The Magnificat High School Fathers' Club Service Award and the Antioch Chalice Award for service to St. Ignatius of Antioch Parish.

He has also been active in political campaigns for numerous candidates for elected offices including a number of campaigns for judicial office.
