Rodman, Heith D.

ANNMARIE CIENAVA ROCCO has over twenty years of experience in the practice of law, and is admitted to both the Connecticut Bar and the Massachusetts Bar.  Before joining Dzialo, Pickett & Allen, P.C., in 2009, Attorney Rocco practiced at another firm in Middletown where she was also a partner from 1997 to 2009.  While she primarily practices in the areas of personal injury and family law, Attorney Rocco also represents buyers and sellers in residential and commercial real estate closings and parties in probate and estate matters.  She is a graduate of Suffolk University Law School, J.D. 1988 and Suffolk University, B.A. 1983 in Boston, Massachusetts.  Attorney Rocco is a native of Middletown where she attended St. Mary School and Mercy High School. 

Her personal injury practice includes clients who are injured in motor vehicle accidents, slip and fall cases, ice and snow cases, product liability cases, uninsured and underinsured motorist cases, wrongful death, and other negligent and intentional tort cases.  She has obtained large settlements on behalf of inured persons.

Her family practice includes private mediation services and collaborative practice in divorce, legal separation, custody and other family related issues.  She has served as a Special Master in divorce cases to help litigants settle their cases before trial.  Attorney Rocco has an extensive background in family litigation and family motion practice.  She believes that to be an effective mediator in a family case and to understand the rights and obligations of the parties with respect to alimony, child support, pension division, valuation of assets, earning capacities issues, real estate and tax-related issues, and the range of other complex issues that may arise in a family case, a mediator should have extensive family law experience including a background of actually representing parties in court throughout the divorce process.

Attorney Rocco is a member of the Connecticut Trial Lawyers' Association; the Connecticut Bar Association, including the Family Law Section and the Litigation Section; the Middlesex County Bar Association including a past member of the Board of Directors and past Treasurer (1998-1999); the Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce; the Middlesex Community Foundation; the Board of Trustee for Mercy High School; the Board of Trustees for St. Mary of Czestochowa; and the Haddam Historical Society.
