Keith deBrucky was born and raised in Western Pennsylvania near Pittsburgh. He completed his undergraduate degree at Washington & Jefferson College with a B.A. in chemistry (pre-law). Thereafter, he served as an officer in the U.S. Army. After officer training in Fort Bliss Texas and receiving a Certificate of Professional Proficiency in German from the Defense Language Institute in Monterey,CA, he served as an officer stationed in Germany and working with nuclear weapons. During that time he married his wife Monika. After law school in New Hampshire he received a law fellowship at the prestigious Max Planck Institute in Munich, Germany. The next few years brought children as well as private practice in Texas and California and work as general counsel for both Halliburton and UNOCAL (then Union Oil Company of California).
Keith began his practice of law in Placentia, California in 1988. Over the years, Keith has modified his original specialty practice in intellectual and industrial property to now emphasize general corporate, business and trademark law, with a considerable portion of the practice relating to all aspects of estate planning.
In accordance with his philosophy to give back to his community, Keith is active in various professional and civic organizations, including the Orange County Bar Association (and its sections for Estate Planning and Trusts and Small Firms and Solo-Practitioners), The William P. Gray Legion Lex Inns of Court, the Placentia Chamber of Commerce (he is a past President and former Director), Placentia Rotary Club (Past President as well as former and present Director), just to name a few. Keith was also the Vice-Chairman of the Citizens Bond Oversight Committee (an 8 year involvement) which oversaw the funds used in the $300 million plus school improvement project for the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District. He also routinely serves as an officer and on the board of directors for various non-profit organizations.
Keith and Monika have maintained their residence in Yorba Linda, California since 1984.
