After earning the distinction to be the only individual in history who served our state as Lieutenant Governor for three consecutive terms (1980-1992), Brad Dye was well-equipped to continue working with our state legislators. Prior to holding that office, he had served in both the Mississippi House of Representatives and the Mississippi Senate, and had served as Mississippi state Treasurer. In 1986, a commission studying the state's constitution affirmed Lt. Gov. Dye's perspective on the powers of the lieutenant governor's office. In September 2010, he was presented with the Mississippi Medal of Service by the Governor.
