Rocamora, Larry H.

Mary Durbin received her Bachelor of Arts in American Studies and Spanish from the University of Notre Dame. Mary first developed an interest in immigration law during college when she volunteered at Catholic Charities Immigration Counseling Services in Dallas. She spent a semester studying abroad at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile in Santiago, Chile.

Following graduation from Notre Dame, Mary completed a year of service with Amate House, the young adult volunteer program for the Archdiocese of Chicago. Her service site was a non-profit organization that provides legal services for immigrants. There, she helped to prepare the cases of detained immigrants facing removal proceedings.

After her year with Amate House, Mary commenced her studies at Washington University School of Law. During law school, she continued to pursue knowledge of immigration law through course work, internships, student activities, and participation in the Civil Rights and Community Justice Clinic. She also participated in the Jurisprudence Review as its Notes and Articles Editor. Finally, Mary served as the President of the Immigration Law Society.
