Paul T. Graham has practiced with the law firm of Carson & Coil, P.C., from 1983 until 1988 and from 1996 to the present. His principal area of practice is disability law with an emphasis on Social Security benefits for the disabled and disability insurance. He has been practicing before the Social Security Administration for 29 years and represents clients at all stages of the process of winning disability benefits: at the initial application level; in hearings before Administrative Law Judges; before the Appeals Council; and in the United States Federal Courts.

Mr. Graham earned a Bachelors of Science Degree in Education from Emporia State University, Emporia, Kansas, in 1971, and a Master's Degree in English Literature from the same university in 1972. After preliminary studies at Oxford University, Oxford, England, in 1972, and the University of Kansas in 1973, Mr. Graham earned a Ph.D. in English Literature at the University of Missouri, Columbia, Missouri, in 1979, where he taught various literature and writing composition courses from 1973-1979. Subsequently, he earned his law degree from the University of Missouri, Columbia, in 1982, where he was a lecturer and instructor in legal writing and appellate advocacy from 1981 to 1982. Following graduation from law school prior to joining Carson & Coil in 1983, Mr. Graham clerked for the Honorable J.P. Morgan, the Honorable Warren Welliver, and the Honorable George Gunn, all judges of the Missouri Supreme Court.

Mr. Graham's trial experience trying hundreds of cases before the Social Security Administration over 29 years has been informed by extensive jury trial experience in the areas of medical malpractice, products liability, construction law, insurance law, and personal injury over his entire career. In addition to disability law, Mr. Graham continues to represent hospitals and injured persons in medical malpractice cases.
