Prior to joining The Law Office of Tad Nelson & Associates in March of 2012 Mr. Robertson served as an Assistant District Attorney in Harris County, Texas. In his time with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office Mr. Robertson prosecuted individuals facing criminal charges ranging from Misdemeanor DWI and Assault to Felony Aggravated Assault and Murder. Mr. Robertson was assigned to the Misdemeanor, Felony, and Juvenile divisions of the District Attorney’s Office and gained invaluable experience and insight in handling criminal cases at all stages of litigation from arrest to trial.
Mr. Robertson was born and raised in Houston, Texas and is a graduate of Humble High School, Baylor University, and New York Law School. While in law school Mr. Robertson clerked for New York County Supreme Court Judge Lewis Bart Stone. While clerking for Judge Stone, Mr. Robertson was responsible for extensive legal research on various topics relating to criminal matters, particularly issues regarding warrantless searches and seizures. Mr. Robertson also spent a year as an intern with the Legal Aid Society of New York working closely with staff attorneys to represent people charged with crimes who could not afford legal representation. Mr. Robertson is excited to be part of the team of outstanding lawyers at Tad Nelson & Associates.
