Brian Dupré is an associate in the Litigation/Controversy Department. He joined the firm in 2010.

Practice

Mr. Dupré has a general litigation practice with experience in trial-level and appellate litigation, government investigations and international arbitration. His major matters have included the successful challenge of a California statute on behalf of an aerospace company, a major government investigation of an energy company, a federal appeal of one of the five largest jury verdicts of 2010, and representation of a leading financial services company in international arbitration sited in Bermuda.

Mr. Dupré maintains an active pro bono practice that has focused on criminal justice policy and the employment rights of returning citizens. He also successfully represented a non-profit housing provider in mediation and an administrative hearing under the DC Homeless Services Reform Act. Since joining WilmerHale, he has participated in the firm’s after-school tutoring program for students attending the Maya Angelou Public Charter School.

Past Experience

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Dupré worked as Assistant General Counsel to Vines of Mendoza, a vineyard developer in Argentina, and completed a fellowship with the Center for Justice and International Law (CEJIL) in San Jose, Costa Rica.

During law school, Mr. Dupré worked as a student attorney for the UT Law Criminal Defense Clinic representing indigent defendants in Travis County, Texas, and for the UT Law Capital Punishment Clinic, working on federal appeals for people on death row. Before beginning his legal career, Mr. Dupré spent six years in advertising and public relations, working primarily for non-profits, political candidates and labor unions.
