Paul R. Dunkelman joined the firm in 1995. Through his superior work ethic and skill, Mr. Dunkelman rapidly made partner in 1998. Mr. Dunkelman is a graduate of Colgate University and the University of Denver Law School, both with honors. Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Dunkelman served as Law Clerk to two Judges of the Denver District Court, the Honorable Paul Markson and the Honorable Lynne Hufnage l (Ret.). In addition, Mr. Dunkelman clerked with Polidori, Jerome, Franklin and Jacobsen in Lakewood, Colorado before joining the firm.
Mr. Dunkelman is an experienced attorney with more than 15 years of trial practice who has focused on the Family Law and Criminal Law areas. He has tried dozens of divorce cases and expects to soon be certified as a Diplomate by the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. Mr. Dunkelman has served as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney for the City of Leadville and has also defended numerous Drug Felony and misdemeanor DUI cases.
Mr. Dunkelman has been recognized by his peers as an attorney of superior abilities with a number of awards. Mr. Dunkelmans high levels of skills and ethical standards have been formally acknowledged by the Martindale Hubbell peer review process.
Mr. Dunkelman served a long tenure as President of the Continental Divide Bar Association. His efforts within the Colorado Bar Association resulted in an invitation to join the prestigious Colorado Bar Fellows Foundation. He has published a number of articles and his article on Torts in Families is included in the Colorado Practitioners Guide to Family Law.
Mr. Dunkelman is currently licensed to practice law in both the State and Federal Courts of Colorado and Arizona.
Mr. Dunkelman is a native of New York who relocated to Colorado in 1988. He enjoys skiing, camping and fishing.
