Laura Roach is an experienced litigator and mediator who emphasizes family law and custody cases. A graduate of the University of Arizona, Laura got her JD from St. Mary's in San Antonio. After graduation, she was an assistant district attorney for Bexar County. As a prosecutor, Laura worked primarily in the family violence unit.
Mrs. Roach was subsequently employed by top civil law firms in San Antonio and in Dallas, where she gained considerable trial experience in a wide variety of cases for individual, government and corporate clients.
Eager to return to family law, Laura and her husband, John Roach Jr., founded the practice of Roach LLP, which then became part of Albin | Harrison | Roach (today, Albin Yates Balius Roach).
Since joining AYBR, Laura has focused on helping families resolve their problems outside the courtroom whenever possible. Her vast knowledge of the law, litigation procedure and area courthouse personnel mean that Laura can resolve family conflict while avoiding traumatic and expensive time in court. When mediation and settlement are not possible, Laura is a zealous litigator that will fight for her clients in the courtroom.
Laura and John Jr. have three boys. Laura is active in their school activities, as well as in a number of civic and charitable organizations including Hope's Door, CASA, Collin County Historical Commission, Republican Party of Collin County and Circle 10 Cub Scouts. In 2000, Laura was named to "21 Persons Leading Collin County Into the 21st Century" by Inside Collin County Business. In 2010, Laura was named “Rising Star” for young attorneys in Texas, a peer-nominated award. She has been featured numerous times in Plano Profile for her professional and civic contributions.
